Obituary of Miriam R. Fox

Miriam R. “Mimi” Fox Fox, Miriam R. “Mimi” of Lockport, NY, passed over peacefully on Thursday November 12, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House. Born on November 3, 1924 in Lockport, she was the daughter of VanNess and Evelyn Erhart Flanders. Mimi devoted her life to her family as a caregiver to many family members and as a loving and supportive wife and mother. Being surrounded by her family brought her the most joy. She taught kindness, compassion and patience to those whose lives she touched. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Paul Lamont Fox, on December 29, 2013, and siblings, Donna Flanders Maxwell and Douglas (Mary Louise) Flanders, Mimi is survived by her daughters, Pamela A. (Terry) Harmon of Lockport and Vanessa L. Fox of Miami, FL; beloved grandson, Brian Paul (Jennifer) Rowland of Altanta, GA; step grandchildren, Nicole Harmon-Crawford and Lucas and Christopher Harmon; sister-in-law, Mary Lou (late Sidney) Fox Buck; beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. A special fondness and appreciation for Stephanie, Lynette and Rose for making our parents part of their lives. Friends may call on Sunday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Avenue, Lockport where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery.
