Lillian Jane (Pecor) Ackerman Ackerman, Lillian J. of Lockport, NY passed away on Friday March 6, 2015. at Niagara Hospice House. Born on December 29, 1938 in Watertown, NY, she was the eldest child of Lloyd and Rosaline Kittle Pecor. Lillian graduated from Clayton Central School in 1956 and moved to the Western New York area after marrying her late husband, Raymond Ackerman. Before her retirement in 2014, she was employed in the office of Ridge Road Express doing payroll. A weekend golfer, she enjoyed spending time at her cottage in the southern tier, knitting and reading. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Ackerman in 1976, her daughter, Vicky Rae Ackerman in 1992, a sister Georgina Adams and a longtime companion, Lester (Bob) Hall. She is survived by her two sons, Mark (Joyce) of Lockport and Glenn (Jan) of TX; her grandson, Cain Ackerman of TX; two brothers, Jim (Veronica) Pecor of Chaumont, NY, John (Candie) Pecor of Clayton, NY, three sisters, Mary Margaret Pecor of KS, Alice jean (George) Barton of Clayton, NY and Paula (Will) Wills of KS. Lillian is survived by special family members, John and Maureen Hamilton, their children, Michaela and Jonathan of GA and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Lillian’s life will be held on Saturday June 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Lockport Masonic Temple, 1 Cottage St., Lockport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or the charity of your choice.
